Swim Meet

Today my youngest daughter was at the Junior Olympics swim meet in Mission Viejo. She was asked to come and swim relays for the Rose Bowl team. When you go to these meets you find yourself sitting a lot, reading, talking etc., while you wait for your daughter or son's race. I did this early this morning when it was still overcast and it would be sometime before her race started.

My daughter did great in her events and helped her relay team come in first in two events.

What do you think?

This a bunch that I was not sure I wanted to post. I felt that they were not good enough when I did them. I think I was trying to do things different then the way I've done them in the past and I probably felt that I missed the mark. Hence not feeling they are good enough to post. Anyways I was looking at them again and forgetting what my original intent was, I started to find things in them that I kind of liked. So here they are good or bad. I also remembered that this part of the blog was supposed to be a representation of my progress as an artist, so I kind of felt that they should be seen.

Iron Horse

Iron_horse_copy_2 Here's a little something different from what I've been posting on this blog lately. This is a British Mk I or III tank. One of this first tanks developed for battle in WW I. I wasn't being particular about which version or it's historical accuracy regarding this picture, I just felt like painting one once and this was the result. Well, it was kind of fun to do and a chance to work a little different from the way I usually do. What do you guys think?

Dscn13491 This is another oil done from a photo.

I don't feel that it's done yet. But I'm not sure that I want to do any more to it. Maybe I'll just move along and some day work on it some more.

A day at the beach.

Dscn12901 Here's an oil painting I did from a photo taken a couple of years ago in La Jolla, San Diego. I would have liked to have painted it on site, but I'll take it in any form I can get it. This was mainly suppose to be an exercise in painting and frustration.

405 South

Monday_march_10_2008 Here's another look at the 405 South. I did another one I guess because I like the view. Lately I've been feeling like I need to get in my car at lunch time and do a painting around the neighborhood. That would mean a slightly longer lunch.

Well, I guess I'll have to try it out when I get some time.

Turning Point

Lb_1 With the release of "Turning Point", I guess it's OK to show some of the work I did for the game. A lot of them are kind of rough. I don't remember why. I think I preferred to work them in that fashion. In any case check out the Turning Point folder on the right and let me know what you think.

101 North On Ramp.

Monday_february_25_2008 I did this one earlier in the month but wanted to put a little more work into it. I was waiting for the weather to get a little better.

Portfolio

  • Scout_pod
Welcome to my portfolio! These are pieces that currently appear in my portfolio, well, the ones I'm allowed to show publicly. If you want to see the rest you'll have to make some time with me. But they will eventually make there way here. You could also see a lot of them in the "God of War" folders also found on this blog. In any case, this folder will change as the portfolio changes and I'll try and have it mirror my book as close as possible. Thank you and I hope you enjoy it.
