Here's a little something different from what I've been posting on this blog lately. This is a British Mk I or III tank. One of this first tanks developed for battle in WW I. I wasn't being particular about which version or it's historical accuracy regarding this picture, I just felt like painting one once and this was the result. Well, it was kind of fun to do and a chance to work a little different from the way I usually do. What do you guys think?
Here's another look at the 405 South. I did another one I guess because I like the view. Lately I've been feeling like I need to get in my car at lunch time and do a painting around the neighborhood. That would mean a slightly longer lunch.
Well, I guess I'll have to try it out when I get some time.
I did this today at lunch. I think it was mostly to experience painting in not great conditions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not standing in the rain. I'm in the parking garage staying somewhat dry. I did enjoy doing it, I think I always do.
I didn't notice it till later, that the building structure and the lamp post fall right in the middle of the page. I'll have to be more careful of that next time.
My good friend Ed Murrieta, over at Cartoon Network asked if I wanted to do a digital painting for their annual Christmas calender. He supplied the pencils and the style reference. It's been a while since I did one of these. It was kind of fun to do it and It gave me something to do while I was sitting in Jury Duty.
